Hawaii visitors a criminal after 2am on the beach in Waikiki

The famous Waikiki beach is off limits for anyone to enjoy from 2am-5am. Police will write a citation and you will need to appear in court. This law is to discourage homeless people from sleeping on the beach. The state posted signs along the beach to warn you. So beware where you go for a late night stroll in Waikiki because you will be treated like a criminal.

This is a stupid law. Visitors from all around the world spend their hard earned money to enjoy the beauty of Hawaii and if they want to go on a romantic stroll on the beach at 2am why not. This law makes no sense to restrict visitors from enjoying a beautiful experience on the beach at night when all the stars are out and lights glistening on the water. It's a beautiful experience at that time of night with waves crashing on the beach. So peaceful.

The people of Hawaii are victims of this law too. The problem is with the incompetent Hawaii lawmakers. They don't know how to solve problems correctly. They don't think it through what the possible outcomes are. In this case they are going to cause damage to Hawaii's tourism industry.

Let's share our Facebook account

I'm curious how people feel about sharing a Facebook account. If you are a married couple or just a couple. Should you share a joint account? You can say we have nothing to hide from each other. We have a great open relationship. You subscribe to the what's yours is mine philosophy.

I personally don't approve of sharing a Facebook account. You can share the same friends and have different friends. The posts on Facebook will get messy unless you discipline yourself to create special groups to make posts for specific friends to see. That's not going to happen, you will end up making posts for everyone to see. The both of you will clutter up your friends timeline feeds with post they could care less about. I will allow my significant other access to my account and that's where I draw the line. It's all about individuality when it comes to Facebook. When you want to share a Facebook post as couple you tag each other in your posts.

That's not my job

Do you follow your job description to a tee? Limiting your abilities is not a good practice for your career growth. Job titles mean nothing. When you see a team member lacking the ability to contribute to the team you need to step up to fill in the gaps if you have the skills to execute the tasks.

When you are on a project team don't get hung up on roles and responsibilities when you have a project to deliver. Everyone needs to help each other out. In the end everyone is a winner when the project is delivered on-time within the budget. It's all about teamwork, not just you.

Always schedule a lessons learned review session at the end of a project. Valuable information will be found out. It will enable better prepared project teams in the future. Training issues could be discovered. Review your time-line estimates based on current resources used. Share your good and bad experiences on the project. Come up with suggestion on how to improve the running of future projects. This session is not blame session. The goal is to learn some best practices and to not repeat any past mistakes in the future.

The Modern Day Slave

Slavery still exists, and will continue to thrive in countries with weak labor laws. We just need to keep exposing the wrongs that are going on in the world. There are so many people from poor countries that seek work in other countries to find a job. Their goal is to earn a better income to send home to help support their family. They make big sacrifices in their lives living thousand of miles away from home in a strange culture. These hardworking people are subjected to slave labor conditions. Long working hours, monitored by employer, and limited days offs. The employer basically owns you.

This is a story of a seamstress working in Kuwait to support her family in the Philippines.

America liberated Kuwait from the Iraq dictator Saddam Hussein. Now some Kuwait employers enslaves foreign workers from poor countries. I can't say all the employers are bad. I hope there are some good ones.

My friend is a hardworking Filipina that has not been granted permission by her employer to go home on a visit. She has not seen her husband, children, and grandchild for over a year. The employer fears that if they let their good workers go on leave they will not return. This employer does not pay on time. Always making up excuses that business is slow. She needs the money so she endures the stressful condition to help support her family.

Think of my friend the next time you are enjoying life with family and friends.
